Our Ethos
Luton Sexual Health is an NHS service, providing open access hub and outreach sexual health service, providing free, confidential, non-judgemental and inclusive HIV, sexual health and contraceptive services. We invite people of all genders and sexualities to come to us for impartial and non-judgemental advice, information, contraception, treatment and support and we can refer you to other services for further support should you need it.
Our staff team are trained to work with our clients to offer a full range of barrier and hormonal contraception, full sexually transmitted infection testing, including HIV testing. Pregnancy testing can be offered in addition to a sexual health screen or contraception appointment. We are a pro-choice organisation and can offer impartial support about pregnancy choices and can support our clients to refer to termination of pregnancy services.
Our team are trained to identify risk, safeguard and provide interventions. Urgent clinical needs will be seen on the same day.
The outreach team work specifically with LGBT+ people, with people who are at risk of or involved with sexual exploitation and people of all ages with additional needs including learning needs – to find out more please see the professionals section.
