Health Care Assistant – Band 3

This role would suit someone who likes to work with people and who has a care certificate and experience of care work.  The role involves assisting the nursing team with individualised care, performing venepuncture and microscopy, assisting the clinicians to prepare for and carry out procedures, processing samples and chaperoning examinations.  You would need to be IT literate and non-judgemental and be happy to work in a busy clinic with a diverse range of people.  If you would like to work as a HCA for us and do not have a care certificate or prior experience, we would be willing to train you, but the role would be paid at a Band 2 until the training and care certificate are complete.

Customer Service Co-ordinator – Band 3

This role would suit someone who is empathic and sensitive to our clients’ needs with a good understanding of sexual health.  Ideally you will have worked with the public before and have excellent customer service skills.  There can be opportunities for both bank and permanent roles in our department.

Sexual Health Nurse – Band 5 with progress to Band 6 and 7 with internal training provided

Are you a registered nurse or working towards this?  Do you have an interest in sexual health and contraception?  This role focuses on providing confidential, holistic sexual and contraceptive health care and education to clients attending the service in a welcoming, sensitive and non-judgemental manner. At all levels you would be expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without supervision; demonstrate procedures and supervise junior and/or unqualified staff.  The role involves working effectively as part of the wider Multidisciplinary Team, support the Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Senior Nurses and Clinical Director to achieve the service, Directorate and Trust’s aims and objectives.
